koker-1Off the Choc Boi nation album, is the standout hit song ‘Do something’ by Koker.

The artiste, whose real name is Olayiwola Kokuma, is a graduate of Creative Arts from the University of Lagos.

He started recording songs during his undergraduate days, including a protest song when the Government sought to change the name of his Institution from Unilag to Maulag. He eventually got his break after working with Choc City’s first lady Pryse on her single Eleto where he took the chorus. This led to him getting signed unto the label and becoming a member of the Chocolate City 2.0 family.

Amongst his inspiration are the likes of Beautiful Nubia, Chief Ebenezer Obey and 2face Idibia. The ‘Do Something’ crooner who has also featured on M.I’s Rich, Falz’s Gerrarahere and Critical by Marvelous, has his sights on gaining mainstream success in the industry and also hopes to own a clothing line someday soon just to expand his brand.

His blend of juju and Afropop sound has made him one of the most sought after hook killers in the industry for anyone seeking a hit record.

2016 may just be the year for Koker to Do Something.
