Phyno
Biography
Phyno is a highly successful indigenous rapper and lyricist who works mainly in his native Igbo dialect. He was born Azubuike Chibuike Nelson on 9, October 1986 in Enugu state and attended the Institute of Management Technology.
Phyno started his career as a producer, working with A-Listers like Timaya and Flavour before considering a run as a solo artiste. He aligned with Ill Bliss and had his big break when he dueted with fellow indigenous rapper Olamide on the scorching Ghost mode single.
His debut album, No guts no glory and its string of hit singles were enough to establish Phyno as one of the most important figures in the hip hop/rap establishment.
