Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo better known as Kcee who hails from Uli in Anambra State, was born on April 18, 1979 in the suburbs of Ajegunle. His father was a DJ; hence he developed love for music.

Kcee's journey into music started when he alongside former partner Presh formed a group called KC Presh. The duo entered the maiden edition of the Star Quest talent show in 2002 and won it.

KC Presh signed a deal with Kennis Music and made a big debut in 2003. In 2006, they launched their own label-KP Records which was re-launched as "Blingz Record", affiliated with Grafton Records in South Africa around 2008.They went on to release an album under their new label "No Time" with the lead single "Shokori Bobo" in 2008.

12 years after meeting in a church choir and conquering the music industry together, Kcee and Presh decided to part ways, each pursuing solo careers. Kcee enjoyed success with his most notable single being "Limpopo" in 2013, the same year his album "Take Over" dropped. He has gone on to win a number of awards.
