Biography
Ikechukwu Onunaku (aka I-Killz or International Killz), was born in Manassas (Virginia), USA to Nigerian parents.
In his first and formative years, he took to dancing, acting and other entertaining activities. He took to beat boxing and all other aspects of the fast growing hip hop culture in his country.
In 1992, Ikechukwu went back to the US for his college education, but instead decided to follow his urges to start his musical career.
After opening shows for Dela Soul and Common in 2000, Ikechukwu knew the time was right for a solo album. An invitation from Obi Asika, boss of Nigeria’s Storm Records’ label, helped him to realize his debut ‘Son of the soil’, which became a success in the Nigerian hip hop scene. He also released a second album (‘Life and Times of Killz Vol.1’).
